How I stay sane throughout the day…
or at least how I try to!
When I first became a SHM I needed a routine to keep our day on track, it’s so easy to just run around with your head cut off and try to go with the flow… Then before I knew it, I’d think where did my day go? What did we even do? This made our day feel hectic – now that doesn’t mean we don’t still have those chaotic days ( I mean when you’re working with these little humans who are unpredictable – Yes things can be hectic, regardless of my best efforts). But at least I can try to pick up from where we left off in the day and try to get things back on track!
Not only do my kids totally thrive from knowing we have a set routine for the day, but so do I! I’m the type who just really needs a plan, the weekends we definitely can stray from the routine and that can be a great way to break up the week. Anyways thought I’d share the routine I came up with that works best for our family, I have a 15 mo. old and 5 year old. Let me know what you find works best for your family♥
Summers here!!!!!!! So time for parks, picnics, fairs, and basically being outside 24/7… But what to wear? This style inspiration mainly comes from my new ripped denim shorts (I am planning on living in these this summer) they are comfy, cute, trendy, perfect amount of coverage, great fit – Yep, I’m in love!
Side note all these items were on sale, which just makes the outfit all the more better, at least in my eyes. You can take any basic shorts and tank outfit to the next level by adding a piece of jewelry, and trendy sunglasses as I did here, so easy and simple!
- Shorts – Nordstroms ($26)
- Tank – Target ($5)
- Necklace – H+M ($3)
- Tennis – Target ($15)
- Sunglasses – Forever 21 ($5)
Total: $54 (including all accessories and shoes)
Grill Master Grandpa or Daddy Gift🍔🔥
I was looking through pinterest for DIY father’s day gifts that the kids could help with and saw some super adorable grilling platters. Since all the Dad’s and Grandpa’s in our family love to BBQ this was perfect!
I found the platters at Walmart only $5 each. They are also heat resistant up to 450 degrees. I bought dishwasher safe craft paint in black and orange only $1.50 each. A sharpie for writing a message.
First step wash plate and dry. Pre-heat oven to 325. I coated the babies hand in paint first (start with your youngest) I had to wash it off and redo it several times! Next child’s hand print. Do thump prints in black for the charcoal. Let it air dry then added the saying “Grill Master Grandpa” with the sharpie. We also wrote on the back “Father’s Day 2016 love, Mason and Trenton” Bake for 35 min. Then let it completely cool in oven.
That’s all folks! Almost too easy for how dang cute they turned out 🙄
Super excited, I just got a notification of my 50+ followers!
